A Minecraft-like game rebuilt in seven days, with an environment where agents test it.
Overview
I have played Minecraft since I was eight. In October 2026 I spent about seven days of vacation rebuilding a Minecraft-like game: a multiplayer block world with its own lighting and terrain.
The part I care about most is the environment around it. My agents can launch the game, move, place and break blocks, take screenshots, and read traces and frame time. They use that evidence to validate and debug their own changes.
A server decides every change to the world, and the game client renders it and sends player input. Solo play is multiplayer with one player, so nothing takes a local-only shortcut.
Key systems
- 01
Agents that play the game
Agents launch the build, move through the world, and place and break blocks the way a player would.
- 02
Evidence, not guesses
Screenshots, traces, and frame time tell an agent whether its change worked and what it cost.
- 03
Seven days to playable
Rebuilt in about a week of vacation in October 2026.
- 04
Custom lighting and terrain
Sky light, colored block light, and far terrain are custom passes instead of the engine's built-in systems.
